A pair of trousers by MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA, produced for the men's line 10. They are made in a yellow brown micro gingham, which has then been overdyed to produce a mottled, slightly uneven grey surface. The trousers are made in one of MMM's signature styles, with a hook closure and no waistband or belt loops. The deliberate omission of these details makes the trousers appear strange, missing the visual cues we normally expect to see. The trousers have two diagonal slash pockets at the side seams, two patch pockets at the back, and a further, very small pocket on the left. MMM's trademark white hand tacks, used to secure the garment label, are visible at the back waist. The trousers are intentionally distressed as part of the production process, but there is additional fraying and damage from wear (see pictures). Colour: Gray (ish) with yellow brown base. Composition: 100% cotton. Condition: Decent vintage condition, with some damage and wear. Size: Men's 46 XS S (but check measurements to confirm). Waist (measured flat, x 2 for total): 39 cm.
